Shape and form.  This is a flamingo transitioning into a side table.

                                          Another creation in acrylic.

This is a life size Nativity scene painted in oils on plywood.

Dragons in Scotland was painted in acrylics.    This face was painted with water-soluble oils.

This is an exercise in copying surfaces.  The image on the left has real samples on it and the image on the right is painted with acrylic, pen and gouache.

Room Re-creations

As with anyone who moves into a new place, I like to renovate and add value to the home.
Here are a few examples of some room befores and afters I have done over the years.
I do all the work myself except the stair railing installation.

Here is a Den make over.  I painted the walls and trim and installed a new floor.
The built in desk and shelves were removed and new furniture brought in.

In this Dining Room make over I painted the walls and put in a new floor and light fixture.

This baby's bedroom was changed into an office.

This toddler's room was changed into a sophisticated spare bedroom.

Here, I replaced the carpet with a runner. Although I did not install the railing myself,
I did stain and varnish it.

I have experience in making draperies and soft furnishings as well.
